★★★★★
"The full-day Tre Cime hike, three limestone towers rising straight into the sky. Seeing them in photos versus in person is two completely different things. The photographer's shots at Grotta della Tre Cime nearly moved me to tears."

★★★★★
"The Seceda cable car up to 2,500 m brought us face to face with the flame ridge I'd seen all over Pinterest. Few people in the early morning, Wanvela timed it before the tour groups, so we walked the ridge without crowds."

★★★★★
"A morning rowboat on Lake Braies' turquoise water + photographing St. Johann church in Val di Funes amid pine forest, the best photographs of my life. Sleeping at My Arbor in Brixen, you really hear the birds in the trees at dawn."

FAQ, Italian Dolomites

Common questions

How is the Dolomites different from the Italy most travelers know?
The Dolomites are Triassic-era mountains in northeastern Italy, white-and-pink limestone peaks listed as UNESCO World Heritage. High peaks, turquoise lakes, alpine meadows, and Tyrolean villages, not the Mediterranean Italy (Amalfi, Cinque Terre) most Thai travelers know. It's a European summer escape with cool, crisp weather for travelers who want to skip the hot southern beaches.
Is the route fixed? Can we customize?
Not fixed, this is a suggested baseline. A Private Trip is fully customizable: add Venice (2 nights), add Lake Garda or Lake Como, watch opera at Verona Arena, add Innsbruck (Austria) as a day trip, or extend the hiking days in the Dolomites to 5–6 nights. The Wanvela team tailors the route to your group.
How hard is the Tre Cime hike, and who can do it?
The Tre Cime di Lavaredo loop is about 10 km at 2,300–2,500 m altitude. Moderate difficulty, some climbs but mostly comfortable, takes 4–5 hours including lunch at a rifugio (mountain hut). Children aged 10+ and adults who exercise regularly can complete it. If hiking isn't your style, the team can arrange a shorter trail or substitute the cable car.
Is the Verona Arena opera included?
It's optional, if you'd like to watch an opera at the 2,000-year-old Roman amphitheater, the team can arrange tickets. The season runs June–September. Famous productions include Aida, La Traviata, and Carmen. Tickets start at +THB 8,000–18,000 per person depending on seating category, and need to be booked when the Wanvela team prepares your proposal.
How far ahead should we book?
90–120 days, because mid-June to mid-September is peak season in the Dolomites, alpine hotels have limited capacity. Grand Hotel Ampezzo, My Arbor, and equivalent properties sell out 3–4 months ahead. Schengen visa applications take 30–60 days from submission to outcome.
