A company born from slow travel
Curated journeys for people who already know what hurried tours feel like.
Where the name came from
"Wanvela" (วันเวลา) translates literally as "days and time" in Thai. The name holds everything we believe: that time is the most precious thing on any journey, not the destination, not the number of cities, not the checklist, but the hour you sit watching the sun set in Positano with no coach driver waiting to wave you back on board.
Why we started
Wanvela began with a simple wish, to reconnect with the people we love through unhurried, thoughtful travel, in beautiful places, with hours that meant something.
We started by taking the family and close friends of our founder, CAN, on the trips we'd always wanted them to experience. The hotels we already loved, the restaurants we couldn't stop talking about, and, quietly, a photographer alongside, capturing the small moments a solo traveler can never catch alone.
"We don't sell seats on a coach. We sell your time, in places we've already decided are worth it."
The two-host model
Every Wanvela trip travels with two hosts: a tour leader who runs the program and the experience, and a professional photographer who quietly captures the days so you can put down your phone and actually be present.
This is not a marketing flourish, it's a cost structure we chose on purpose. We believe good photographs are the most lasting souvenir a journey can give you. The edited album arrives within 14 days of your return home.
The slow itinerary
Our European standard is one to two nights per city. Our Italy trip reads Rome 1N → Tuscany 2N → Florence 1N → Cinque Terre 1N → Positano 2N → Rome 1N, not eight cities in seven days.
For the Alps we use a hub-and-spoke pattern, base in one place for two to four nights, then ride cable cars and trains out for the day. You don't have to repack your suitcase every morning.
What we don't include - on purpose
Lunch and dinner are deliberately left off the package. Not to economize, but because choosing where to eat is part of the experience of being somewhere. Our team supplies a curated restaurant list in every city, including the hard-to-book and the Michelin places we think you'll love.
Who we serve
Wanvela is for travelers who've already done the rushed tours and want to come home remembering the journey for longer than the week after, families who want quality time together, couples celebrating something, groups of friends who want to travel the way they actually live.
